CODING

The world is at your fingertips when you learn to code and the opportunities are boundless.  Just ask Miral Kotb how coding has transformed the world around her.  Coding is for anyone and everyone.

Learning to code is an essential tool that can help students with problem-solving skills that can be transferred into the real-world. Many students will be intrisically motivated to learn to code. Other students may be extrinsically motivated by other factors. Nonetheless, it's essential to explore how your students learn and what motivates them.  Once you've acquired the "secret sauce" the possiblities will be endless.

Students can learn to code using Hour of Code.  The programming language used is Blockly in which students learn to drop and drag.

The game features a character named Angry Bird.  Angry Bird is trying to catch Naughty Pig.  Students can learn the basics of "stacking blocks" and pressing "run" to code Angry Bird's quest to capture Naughty Pig.
